It was a wonderful surprise to see Jenny with flowers and the wonderful news of winning the first ever STEM Impact Grant last Friday! I am very honored and would like to thank the Clark- Pleasant Foundation and everyone that has helped support them. Thanks to this grant every child at Sawmill Woods Preschool will have the opportunity to use the STEM materials that this grant will purchase for each classroom’s learning centers. Ms. Sandy Congratulations Ms. Sandy!! We are so happy that we are able to support our teachers with grants such as these. We would not be able to do this without the support of donors like you. We hope that you continue to support the foundation.

I used the Clark-Pleasant Education Foundation grant to purchase recordable learning devices and dry erasable cubes. These devices allow nonverbal students to express their wants and needs. They also can help further the learning experiences of all peers. The possibilities of the recordable devices and dry erase cubes are endless.

I truly appreciate being able to give students the opportunity to build and create things that makes them feel such an immense sense of pride in themselves. The items I have purchased with grant money I received through the Clark Pleasant Education Foundation have enabled me to provide students the opportunity to explore new technology, think creatively, design and build new things, and realize that they are capable of making a difference in the lives of others.

Thanks to the Education Foundation, this grant has allowed my students to use puppets representing reading strategies to help them become better readers. It has helped build confidence while having fun!
